~Happy Easter~

The angel said to the women,
"Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Come and see the place where he lay.
Matthew 28:5-6

So thankful that our Savior is risen indeed!

Our Easter Sunday was full of Easter egg hunts, a beautiful Easter morning service at First Presbyterian Church, and an Easter brunch.  What a day!  Thank you, Lord Jesus, for our wonderful blessings!

 The Easter bunny came!

Safari!

While daddy was away in Augusta at the Masters (lucky guy!) we headed out to the Serengeti Resort to go on a safari!  We had the best time and I highly recommend this place to all locals.

We got THIS close to the giraffe.

The ostriches were a little scary.

And the camel was strange - he never got up.

We also saw some antelopes, a snake, lemurs, and a parrot.

Field wishes he could have driven the golf cart himself, but no such luck.  Give it about 15 more years, buddy.

It was a fun Easter weekend activity!

My sweet Omah

My grandmother passed away this week.  She was 92 years old and lived a long, blessed life.  She was SO dear to me and was the only grandparent I really knew well.

Omah, I will miss you dearly.  Thank you for your unconditional love.  The fond memories I have with you will always be close to my heart.

Field LOVED Omah and all of her cool gadgets at her house
(i.e., her wheelchair, her walker, her cane, etc.).

Rest in peace, sweet Omah.
We love you and will miss you everyday!
